My expertise is in the following areas: Race and Education. I offer consultancy on race equality in education, social education policies and debates on multicultural and anti-racist education. I also offer advice on the issue of black educational underachievement, the school curriculum (classroom processes and practices) and the role of the black teacher in Education. Educational Psychology. Understanding a child’s psychological development is vital to successful learning and teaching so the need for teachers to acquaint themselves with the knowledge of child psychology is vital. Teachers therefore need regular updates on educational psychology and classroom processes. My consultancy aims to get to the heart of psychology in education and theories of learning. I look at individual assessment and it’s implication to education. In my consultancy, we investigate the theory of the self-fulfilling prophecy, the issue of reward and punishment and behaviour modification programmes. Special Educational Needs provision at all academic levels. I focus on the individual child, assisting the teacher to adjust to individual learning difficulties. I advise on up to date teaching resources, for example the innovative electronic aid for teaching numeracy to children who struggle with numbers.
